As the world starts opening back up, remember to stay vigilant in preventing the spread of germs by practicing good hand hygiene. Washing your hands is one of the number one ways you can help keep yourself and others healthy. Washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, using soap and water, is the most effective way to sanitize your hands. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
As the summer temperatures go up, and we spend more time outdoors, so does the risk of heat stress. Drinking enough fluids is one of the most important things you can do to prevent heat illness. While outdoors, drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol and energy drinks that could dehydrate you. Be sure to take plenty of breaks from the heat by going indoors to air conditioned areas, when available.
